Videos For: Mac Mini Wireless Keyboard Setup

In a 'kind of' relationship to this thread. I'm looking at getting a Mac mini, which will require me to get a new keyboard, mouse and monitor (I'll be selling my eMac with the original k/b and mouse). My concern is that I don't know if I (or the missus) like keys on the Apple aluminium keyboards. I've played with them in the shops but haven't really been impressed - very different to the old white keyboard - so I'm asking the trusted MacTalk readers to give me your impressions and also explain if you had any problems adapting to the alu k/b when you upgraded. On a side line (and a bit blasphemous) can anyone recommend other brand keyboards that work well (and look like they belong with) Macs. Especially ones with USB 2.0 ports on the back/sides like Apple do (these would be wired of course)? Thanks BS P.S.

I really like the look of alu keyboards and $69 is such a good price (for the wired one - I'm torn between wired & wireless simply for the reason of easily plugging in my camera to the k/b rather than reaching over to the back of the mini) that I feel that maybe I just need to get over the keys issue. Someone please lead me the way. I had similar reservations as you originally Bart. I'm not a touch typist by any means, but the aluminium ones just looked so radically different. Having bought one now, I have to say they're so easy to type on. Even my SO (who is a touch typist) says they're great. Thanks Mac Ram, yours and your SO's opinion have helped direct me (and my SO) onto the path of righteousness.

But I still need to make my mind up about whether to go wired or sans wire. Since I've hijacked this thread about Mac mini and wireless keyboard setup I should probably do just that. If only to make it worth all your while Cheers P.S. I'm confused. Does this mean I've made a decision?
